Really the only thing they have in common in my view, is their coloring and that they are a small breed. But 6.2 lbs is still considered a yorkie unless he has a long face/snout. Sometimes vets and other people are often confused about the difference. Your baby is loveable either way though

I agree. I should have said bigger yorkies and silkies look alot alike. My groomer showed me a picture of a silky and My Chachi looks alot like them. Jewels my 6 lb yorkie doesnt.

I really have no idea. When I look at him I can't tell if he has a yorkie snout or a silky snout. I've examined pictures of both breeds and cannot come to any conclusions about him. Any other advice on how to find out?

Hi! I noticed that one of your furbabies have ears like my Dunks! Theyre big and they stick straight up! I have been trying to figure out if my baby is pure yorkie or if hes a mix with silky or if hes a silky. LoL
